High card – is the lowest  hand in Texas Hold’em poker. For example if you have “ace high” you will beat someone who has “king high” or any other situation.

One pair – you have a pair when you hit two cards with the same value. The strong hand is the hand with the big pair.

Two pairs – you have two pairs when you have two cards with the same value and another two cards with same value but a different value against first pair.

Three of a kind – you have three of a kind when you hit three cards with the same value. When you have a pocket pair in hand and you hit the same value of your pocket on the flop is called that you have a set.  If you have two cards on the flop and only one in hand is called that you have three of a kind. The power of the hands is the same but a good poker players need to know this difference between a set and three of a kind.

Straight – you have a straight when you have five cards in ranked succession.  An ace can be or the high card or the lower card in a straight. If two or more players has straights then the player with the high card in the straight win.

Flush – you have flush when you hit five cards of the same suite (of the same color).  If two or more players has flush the player with the high card in the flush win.

Full house – you have a full house when you hit three of a kind and also a pair. To determine if one full house higher ranked then another, first look at the three cards of the same kind. The one that is larger wins. If they both are the same then you'll have to compare the two cards.

Four of a kind – you have four of a kind when you hit four cards of the same value.

Straight flush – you have a straight flush when you hit five cards of the same suite ranked in succession except straight flush ten to ace which is a royal flush.

Royal flush – is the best hand in poker. You hit a royal flush when you hit all the cards of the same suite (of the same color) ten through ace. It’s a straight and a flush same time and is royal because it’s made with ace high card.
